Plain-language summary: we collect the information you give us when you plan an event or apply as a vendor (name, email, and the details of your request), we use it to match organizers with vendors and run the platform, and we share it only with the other party in a booking and the handful of tools we use to run Vendkom (listed below) — never sold to advertisers.

1. Who we are

Vendkom ("Vendkom," "we," "us") operates vendkom.com, a marketplace connecting event organizers with vetted startup vendors in Jordan. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, why we collect it, and who we share it with.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

If you're planning an event: your name, email address, event type, event date, and any details you share about what you need.
If you're applying as a vendor: your business name, email address, category, city or area served, and any details you share about your business.

Information collected automatically

When you submit a form, our hosting and form-processing provider (Netlify) automatically logs your IP address, browser/user agent, and referring page alongside your submission. We use this only for spam prevention and basic diagnostics, not for tracking or advertising.

3. How we use your information

To match organizers with vendors that fit their event
To review and vet vendor applications before they go live on the platform
To communicate with you about your request, application, or booking
To coordinate logistics (contracts, scheduling) between organizers and vendors we've matched
To improve the platform and understand what's working

4. Who we share it with

We share information in these situations only:

Matched bookings: if we match you with a vendor or organizer, we share the relevant contact and event details needed to complete that booking.
Service providers who help us run Vendkom:
- Netlify — hosts the site and processes form submissions
- Airtable — where we track and manage vendor applications and event requests internally
- Google Workspace — our business email, used to communicate with you
These providers only process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

We do not sell your information to third parties or use it for advertising.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account or listing is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and legal purposes. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, contact us (below) and we'll act on it unless we're required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing vendkomadmin@vendkom.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Cookies & tracking

Vendkom does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future to better understand site usage, we'll update this policy first.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

Vendkom is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Vendkom grows. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for significant changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know directly.
